Stefan Buga (Violin)

Stefan Buga (Violin) was born into a family of musicians in Bratislava (Slovakia) in 1980 and represents the third generation of violinists. He completed his musical education at the State Conservatory in Vienna with Professor Birkus-Kigo. After studying with Professor Habib Kayaleh (Kayaleh Violin Academy) in Crans-près-Celigny (Switzerland), Stefan Buga graduated with a concert diploma in 2006. Since then he has performed as a soloist with various orchestras (among others with the Slovak Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Banská Bystrica, the Symphony Orchestra Zürich, Prager Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra Basel, etc.). He has been honoured with a number of prizes. Among the most important is the first prize at the International International Music Competition Stresa (Italy) in 1995. The establishment of the ensemble Arte Diversa is also his achievement.
